Hales Electrical Service, Inc. is a leader in the area of back-up/stand-by power generated system installations and maintenance. We are currently looking for a Scheduling & Customer Success Specialist who is a motivated self-starter to add to our growing business in the following capacities:
- Intake and processing of Generator Service and Annual Maintenance Requests.
- Coordination, processing, and scheduling of routine preventative maintenance and repair work.
- Full understanding of generator maintenance needs.
- Assist with intake and processing of preventative maintenance and repair work requests for our growing customer base.
- A high school graduate or equivalent is required. College level course work or degree is a plus, but not required.
- Candidates must have experience in Fleet Management and Customer Service.
- Candidates must have strong computer skills and be able to learn new programs in a timely manner. Computer programs include but not limited to: Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, Fleet Management Software and Customer Relationship Management Software.
- Candidates must be honest, dependable, and work well in a fast-paced environment as well as demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to focus while multitasking daily.
- Candidates must have an understanding of sales and service work and/or experience in that area is desired.

This is an hourly position, with eligibility for benefits after temporary period of no less than 90 days. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications with a general starting range of $11.00 – $16.00 per hour.
Responsibilities/Duties: Assist and support Journeyman or Master Electrician in all aspects of work relating to the electrical installation of Generac generator systems and electrical work. This includes, but is not limited to loading and unloading equipment and tools as necessary. Following instructions of the Electrician running the work or job. Maintaining tools and supplies well organized, and understanding the purpose and name of each within a ninety day period. Perform in a fast-paced environment, listen and comprehend instructions, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in that type of environment.
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Higher education, experience, or a related trade school is a plus. Possess and demonstrate good mechanical aptitude, be in good physical condition, and be capable of lifting 50 pounds. Must be able and willing to work in a variety of conditions and circumstances, to include, but not be limited to cold, heat, tight spaces, crawl spaces, and attics. Must be able to lift 80-100 pounds. Must have reliable transportation, a positive attitude, be team oriented, and have a desire to succeed and grow with the Hale’s Team.

Assistant Sales Specialist
Responsibilities/Duties: This position will begin as an apprentice to a Generac Generator Site Survey Sales Specialist and work towards the career as a Generac Sales Specialist. Candidate will perform, with supervision initially, all aspects of work relating to the process of conducting the initial Site Survey as well as preparing necessary documentation for preparation of Proposal/Contract. The Assistant Sales Specialist will meet potential Clients at their home or business (wherever generator is to be installed) and conduct a thorough Site Survey, this process will include taking measurements and photos of property, Electric Panel and Generator Placement site. This will include having knowledge of Electric Panels with meticulous detail to current breaker positioning and ability to translate said information to new panel for generator accommodation. The ideal candidate will meet with the Homeowner and discuss their expectations of their generator usage to gauge appropriate size of generator to meet their needs.
This candidate will learn to read, interpret, and create Site Survey drawing of size of home, panel ledger, generator and Transfer Switch placement. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be well organized. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing as well as possess and increase their customer interaction skills.
Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent. Higher education is desirable, but not required. The ideal candidate must possess and demonstrate mechanical aptitude. Must be able to work and drive in a variety of conditions and circumstances, to include, but not be limited to cold, heat, rain and snow. The candidate must have a positive attitude, be team oriented and have a desire to succeed. Candidates with experience will receive preference. All candidates will be given the opportunity to receive training at appropriate times and levels of readiness.

Electrician (Journeyman or Masters)

Responsibilities/Duties: Perform, with minimal supervision, all aspects of work relating to the electrical installation of Generac generator systems. This includes air and liquid cooled units. Use knowledge, skills, and abilities to identify and calculate code requirements for daily installation sites to ensure approved final electrical inspection. Use personal communication and leadership skills to interact favorably with Hale’s Electrical Staff, customer and crews.
Position Responsible for, but not limited to, the following areas:
Daily review and planning of assigned work, materials, crews and tools for the most time and cost effective way to perform duties.
Perform electrical installation utilizing crew provided to install Generac Generator, Transfer Switches, and electrical work as assigned.
Review procedures set forth and recommend cost saving measures and methods and provide alternate plans as needed.
Guide, direct, empower and teach any apprentices / helpers on location as assigned to increase their understanding of the work required, as well as teach the skills, procedures and manner in which work is to be performed to meet Hale’s Electrical Service standards.
Maintain assigned vehicle, equipment and tools and report incidents and damaged vehicle, equipment or tools to management for repair / replacement.
Communicate with Staff regularly on job site progress, challenges and remedies to enable office and related staff to communicate with others as needed.
Use technology provided for daily communication, travel, and job assignment and performance.
All other duties and procedures as assigned
REQUIREMENTS: Must have valid driver’s license, agree to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, submit to a Criminal Background Check, possess valid Commonwealth of Virginia Journeyman or Master’s Tradesman License. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and pass a full physical employment exam with no restrictions due to the physical and outdoor exposure nature of the job to install generators.
